The Program
What is the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator?
The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator brings together established companies from Bavaria with students and young professionals from Bavaria, Israel and in some editions also the United Arab Emirates. Through a co-creation framework, multinational teams solve technological and business challenges brought in by companies and public institutions. Launched in 2015, there have been twelve editions so far with over 50 company partners and over 300 participants.
Corporate and institutional partners from Bavaria and Israel present BIPA’s multicultural teams innovation with challenges relevant to their business, in fields such as:
- Industry 4.0
- The Internet of Things
- Automotive / Smart Mobility
- Healthcare / MedTech
- IT-Security
- Products & Services
- Public Services
How does it work?
Entrepreneurs and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel form international teams, and engage in a 2-month program composed of a kick-off workshop, an acceleration phase, and a concluding workshop and results presentation.
Teams are guided throughout the program by highly skilled mentors to create solutions for the proposed challenges.
Part I. Kick-Off Workshop Munich (October 14th to 18th 2024)
An intensive kick off devoted to guiding the newly formed teams in the process to open innovation while addressing specific challenges of the participating companies.
Part II. Acceleration Phase (October 19th to December 15th 2024)
Development of a tailored solution for the proposed company challenge supported by virtual mentoring and online collaboration tools.
Part III. Final Workshop & Results Presentation Israel (December 16th to 19th 2024)
The teams finalize their ideas and present their developed solutions to the company partners. The teams join forces with other BIPA participants for an unparalleled group experience. Exploring the Israeli start-up ecosystem for a couple of days and getting to know even more like minded people.
Future Prospects
- Incorporate the tailored solution to the company‘s product/service portfolio.
- Partner with the team by e.g. becoming first customer for the solution or Seed-investing a potential startup. In either case the newly formed startup can also be incubated at SCE or to receive further support during its implementation and initial growth phases.
