The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator brings together established companies from Bavaria with students and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel. Through a co-creation framework, multinational teams solve technological and business challenges brought in by the companies. Launched in 2015, there have been nine editions so far with over 40 company partners and over 190 participants.
Corporate partners from Bavaria and Israel present BIPA’s multicultural teams innovation with challenges relevant to their business, in fields such as:
- Industry 4.0
- The Internet of Things
- Automotive / Smart Mobility
- Healthcare / MedTech
Last year the universities of applied sciences in Deggendorf and Regensburg joined the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship and Tech7 and made that BIPA year the biggest and best so far. BIPA 2021 will be even more exciting: For the first time Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi is part of the BIPA family, making this a truly multinational experience for everyone.
How does it work?
Entrepreneurs and young professionals from Bavaria, Israel and the United Arab Emirates form international teams, and engage in a 2-month program composed of a one week kick-off workshop in Bavaria, a virtual acceleration phase, and final workshop in Israel.
Teams are guided throughout the program by highly skilled mentors to create solutions for the proposed challenges.
Part I. Kick-Off Workshop (October 11t to 15th 2021)
An intensive kick off, held in Bavaria, devoted to guiding the newly formed teams in the process to open innovation while addressing specific challenges of the participating companies.
Part II. Virtual Acceleration Phase (8 weeks)
Development of a tailored solution for the proposed company challenge supported by virtual mentoring and online collaboration tools.
Part III. Final Workshop (December 13th & 14th 2021)
The teams come back together physically to finalize their developed solutions and concepts and prepare the presentations for the company parterns.
